Three years after the release of their album “Kill The Buzz”, Drip-Fed are back to announce their third full-length record. “Sold For Parts” comes out on June 7th through I.Corrupt.Records in Europe and Head2Wall Records in the US.
“Steady Habit” is the first out of three singles off of “Sold For Parts”. Like in most Drip-Fed songs, Jeff reflects on his own life and habits. It is a song about relationship with substance and making sure you have just enough control over an addiction to ensure it continues without completely destroying you: “One of the ways I would keep myself in check was to force myself to do a sober week every year just to prove that I could and give myself some false sense of autonomy. This song speaks to a year where I couldn’t do a week.”
“Steady Habit” is out now through all streaming platforms as well as on YouTube with this video:
“Sold For Parts” is the second album the band recorded in their guitarist’s home studio which proved to be a big benefit, as vocalist Jeff states: “We picked every single song apart and made a lot of little changes that really served the songs. Chris produced the record himself. This gave us complete freedom with time to experiment and get everything right. When you’re on a budget in a studio, you can’t really afford to record the sound of a bong hit or a door creaking (sounds that are actually on the album). “
“Sold For Parts” sees the Texas hardcore outfit pick up where they left off on “Kill The Buzz”. It’s a groovy punk album with super catchy rock’n’roll riffs and a ferocious attitude.
Influenced by nostalgic classics like Black Flag, Minor Threat, Fugazi as well as modern acts like Drug Church, Modern Life Is War or Ceremony, “Sold For Parts” is a records which serves fans of all hardcore-punk generations.
